You Have To Be A Little Crazy

No, we’re never gonna survive, unless we are a little crazy” ~ Crazy by Seal

Seal’s lyrics sound quite outlandish but, are they now? Sometimes, you just have to be a little crazy to get through life. Actually, sometimes you may have to be a lot crazy just to get through one day! There you are one day. Trudging along. Putting one foot in front of the other. Just going through the motions. You are in a struggle to get through this particular day.

Sometimes doing the mundane things that constitute your existence can aggravate you –  just because. No one really knows why things can suddenly change – on a dime. Maybe that particular day you just got up on the “wrong” side of the bed. Side note – what does THAT really mean anyway?

If you do not have a strong mind, continuous wear and tear of the drudgery will take a toll on your mental, AND emotional, well-being. If you are not able to adapt to your current situation, change your perspective, it may lead to a mental breakdown. A situation you should avoid at all costs, as that will have harmful effects on your health.

Such a situation, the drudgery, calls for you to be a little crazy! What does that mean?  Maybe I will start by telling you what it does NOT mean! You are NOT do anything that will cause harm to you or anyone around you. You are also NOT do anything that will get you in legal trouble. I think you get the idea of what NOT to do.

What it does mean is for you to step out of your comfort zone, and do something extraordinary. Something you would not ordinarily do. Be silly. Be hilarious. Being crazy is not being insane. What does your being crazy look like? Life is short. You only pass this way once. Break up the mundane and be a little crazy. Push your normal boundaries and see what a difference it can make in the quality of your life. Bend – don’t break – the rules. Be happy in your life.

Enjoy being a little crazy! Actually, embrace it!
